Distribution of flyers

Find our white label material for this action: Flyer

1Create a flyer with all relevant information about your energy community

Use the template for flyers in our toolkit or design one yourself. Keep the text brief and simple.

Include:

  1. Most importantly, your contact details
  2. Answers to the 5 Ws as far as they are relevant: what, who, why, when, where
  3. A call for action: persuade the reader to take your desired action
  4. The benefits of joining your project: e.g. using bullet points
  5. Visual elements like pictures or illustrations and the project’s logo, if there is one
2 Drop flyers as direct mails at relevant households

Ask for putting the flyers in local supermarkets and shops or anywhere you assume your relevant target group to be active. See below to learn more about where to reach your specific target group.

Touchpoints: See where to get in contact with your specific target group in our target group profiles.

For example, you can use bulletin boards in kindergartens, schools, sports clubs, and associations, where you assume families are active. Use bulletin boards in senior’s clubs, sports clubs, and associations such as choirs or bridge clubs to reach grandparents/elderly people. To reach students, use bulletin boards in universities, sports clubs, and associations (e.g. choirs, climate justice societies, youth centres, etc.).

To reach pupils, ask for displaying those flyers on the bulletin boards of schools, associations, and sports clubs, where you assume pupils are active. In addition, you might drop the flyers personally at schools. Also, think of potential school events, where you could address the pupils directly. There might be summer festivals, sports events, or other similar occasions.

Keep in mind: When you approach pupils, you’re mostly addressing minors. Always make sure to address the school administration first before talking to pupils.

Tip: Also, think of events to distribute your flyer to potential members of your target group. To get an idea of the most suitable events for your target group, see presentation at local events.
