Factsheet

Create a factsheet with all relevant information about your energy community. The factsheet is a few pages long and contains more details than a flyer. The white label brochure additionally contains a front and blank back cover.

  • Brochure (incl. front and back cover)

The brochure and factsheet provide you with two essential competences:

  • a concept on how to structure a convincing factsheet/brochure, e.g. for convincing the mayor of an energy community,  attracting new investors, introducing your energy community to the local press, and
  • an adaptable design.

How to use the brochure & factsheet

→  Download and save the file.

→  Insert the logo of your own energy community or delete the placeholder logo if you don’t have a logo: cover page and header.

→  Make it your own by inserting information on your own energy community.

→  Replace symbolic images with your own: Select picture by → right mouse click → change picture. Don’t forget to add copyright information!

→  Remember to save the new file.

When creating your own factsheet, there are some tips you might find useful:

Do

→  Most importantly, provide your contact details.

→  Answer the 5 Ws as far as they are relevant: What, Who, Why, When, Where.

→  Call for action: persuade the reader to take the desired action.

→  List the benefits of joining your project, e.g. by using bullet points.

→  You can write more than in a flyer, but keep the text as brief and simple as possible.

→  It should be clear from a quick glance what it is about (informative title and subheadings).

→  You can use the illustrations and pictures provided (their use has been clarified and is legally permitted), but we recommend using pictures of your own project and the project’s logo, if there is one.

→  Keep a clean and organised aesthetic, e.g. consistent font type and size, alignment and line spacing for the standard text.

Don’t

→  Overload the factsheet with information.

→  Use a font size smaller than 11 points.

Once you have created your own factsheet/brochure with all the core information about your project, you can take it with you to presentations at local events or personal talks with your target group, or even use parts of it for your coverage in local or regional newspapers.
