Home/Best Practices/Multiapartment house in Veszprém

Multiapartment house in Veszprém

Our house was built from 1983-86 and there are 76 flats in the seven-story building (between 28 and 42 m2). We successfully applied three times for PVs and heating modernizations and had some savings from these – with in total 340 000 EUR expenditure we achieved a multiapartment house which we can operate relative economically. I think our energy community meets modern needs.

Innovatív szemlélettel a mindenkori értéknövelő beruházásokra való törekvés.

Andreas Lechner

Our Story

Where/How did you first get the idea to start your energy community?

The constant rising energy prices drove me to encourage learning about the modern production of renewable energy.

What makes your energy community special?

We are not special, just wanting to use the opportunities.

What is your project about?

Our project is about cost efficiency, about making our immediate environment more livable and more esthetic.

What was your goal you wanted to achieve when you first initiated the energy community?

Cost efficiency, real decrease of our energy bills.

What were the biggest challenges in the process?

Convincing the doubters and skeptics, as well as preventing the attempt to siphon off tender funds from a cobbler, incompetent contractor, and suspected corruption during one project.

What was your biggest success you already achieved through your project?

The investments made so far have always lived up to our expectations.

What is your superpower?

Credibility, work

What are your suggestions/advice for others who want to set up an energy community?
