Bürger Energie Region Regensburg eG was founded in 2012 and has set itself the goal of offering citizens of the city and district of Regensburg the opportunity to actively support a sustainable and decentralized energy supply through participation in the cooperative. In this way, members can become involved in co-determination and co-designing the local and regional energy future. The cooperative is mainly involved in PV projects, serving as a good example on how to implement a tenant electricity project while cooperating with local organizations.
